The five-theater performance space, Place des Arts, is home to the Montréal Symphony Orchestra, the Metropolitan Orchestra, the Chamber Music Orchestra, two dance companies – Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and O Vertigo – and the Jean Duceppe theatre company.

Few cities surpass Montréal in the number and variety of clubs. Rock concerts along with jazz, musical reviews and French singers hit the stage at La Tulipe. Electronic music draws the young and hip to the café-bar La?ka and Parking in the Gay Village.

Live music, from progressive flamenco and hip hop to blues, rocks La Place à Côté. Live bands at Tokyo bar range from soul to top 40s. Bands alternate with DJs at the Jello Bar. Hip Hop reigns at the afterhours club, Circus.
