Description

Montreal has so much to discover that it is immensely beneficial to your experience of the city to be accompanied by a local who has lived there their entire life. The team at Montreal is hugely passionate about the city that resides within a river and is well prepared to share the history, the food, and more.

City Manager Adam Marcinski has much experience in conversing with groups of people from his time as a sports coach. With an infectious smile he will be sure to leave you in high spirits and a very happy tummy (just don't get him started on badminton, or else he may not stop). He was fortunate to have been brought up by parents who greatly enjoyed their food, and would frequently explore the city in search of recommendations from friends and family.

In Montreal's Secret Food Tour you will be presented with a variety of cuisines on top of some definitively Montreal dishes coming from Montreal's Mile End area.

  • We meet at fountain park in front of the church of L'Église Saint-Enfant-Jésus du Mile End (Church of Baby Jesus at Mile End)
  • Heading over to Boulangerie Guillaume we can enjoy some delicious warm Alsatian tarts made in a Montreal style. Plenty of amazing baked goods to buy here.
  • Going North along Boulevard St. Laurent we will sit down to have some beer, wine, and most importantly some locally-made juicy sausages.
  • Our proximity to Little Italy will provide us a chance to have some filling Gnocchi covered in a great tomato sauce.
  • Right next door we will have some freshly-made Montreal-style Bagels from Fairmount Bagel that are actually best eaten as is.
  • Walking down Fairmount, we will arrive on Avenue du Parc where we will finally have a Montreal tandem combo of Poutine smothered in Smoked Meat, neither of which you can miss if visiting Montreal. While here, we also recommend indulging on a Quebecois beer, because no poutine should be left unaccompanied by beer.
  • And finally some light Crepes and fruit to soothe the stomach.
